Frequently asked questions.
How do I know if I am eligible for funding?
This is a great discussion for your accessibility advisor or coordinator. If you are a secondary or post-secondary student registered at a high school, college, or university in Canada, have a persistent, permanent, or profound disability, can demonstrate financial need and/or receive government disability assistance, you are very likely eligible for federal or provincial funding assistance to work with a learning strategist for up to 15 hours per four-month semester. You may also be eligible for assistance accessing adaptive technology, notetaking, and tutoring services. I can help you navigate first steps if you haven’t already connected with your school’s accessible learning centre.
What does a learning strategist even do?
A learning strategist helps you to define and refine your goals, identify your strengths, dig down deep to understand what motivates you, and then works closely with you to help you to develop positive habits while learning about how you learn, how you want to prioritize your needs, wants, and obligations, and build upon your emerging success!
This is a frequently asked question?
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
